Atlantic Books Is Accepting Manuscripts from Unagented Writers

Atlantic Books has opened its submissions to unagented literary writers. The independent British publisher is looking for “complete novels, extensive partials or short stories.”

Founded in 2000 and based in Bloomsbury, London, Atlantic Books is the publisher of Andre Aciman’s Call Me by Your Name, Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians, Aravind Adiga’s The White Tiger, and Oyinkan Braithwaite’s My Sister, the Serial Killer.

It also publishes books on history, politics, and current affairs, and memoir.

In 2020, it was named Trade Publisher of the Year at the Independent Publishing Awards.

From the website:

All submissions should come with a one line pitch and a one paragraph pitch, outlining the submission.

We will not read anything outside the literary genre and we are unable to respond personally to every submission.

If you write well and you have something to say, then please do get in touch via the link below.

Send your manuscripts to fictionsubmissions@atlantic-books.co.uk.

  1. I have a book yet to be published. The title is Destigmatized, its theme is on culture and traditions and the girl child as well as it’s possibility of spreading the HIV virus through female circumcisition. I t can be recommended for use in schools and colleges or universities as a literature text.

  2. I have just concluded works on a play,The Kingmakers. I want to know if you accept dramatic works that try to interprete the Africa socio political concerns .
When is the deadline? Can l still submit my manuscript?

  3. The Kingmakers,is the title of my recent manuscript. It is a play,
a literary appraisal of a society that is committed to history rather than the future,a society in the hand of carnivores and a frustrated saviour entangled by a perennial social debacle .

I want to know if you accept dramatic works. When is the deadline for submission? If you find my story interesting and publishable , l want to be excused from financial commitments. Let us agree on a term and get my royalty paid.
