Socrates Mbamalu is a freelance writer and journalist whose work has been published by Al Jazeera, VICE, Foreign Policy, New Lines Magazine, and the Foundation for Investigative Journalism, where he was a reporter in Nigeria. He is an associate editor at Bakwa Magazine. He is a graduate student of War and Society at Chapman University.
